    Read Recommendations for fileserver

    Hi Mobi,

    Salamat!!!!

    CentOS. Configured as File Server.

Create a directory folder categorized by their usage. Set it as read only and allow adding folders and files under that directory. Make sure na may recovery option like, if someone deleted accidentally may hidden recyling bin na doon lahat mapupunta deleted files, but with your admin access pwede mo sya maretrieve.

Parang Windows Server yan paps?

Tsaka Server with 3pcs 2TB for File Server lang paps.

Yung Directory na restrictions features ni CentOs?

Free yan. Linux based OS sya kaya free. Configurable yang restrictions every folder, every directory, and even every file types. Need mo lang knowledge about Linux commands.

Linux talaga mostly for server-related operations, kaso kelangan may alam ka talaga when it comes to Linux Commands. pero kung mas sanay ka sa windows, much better ang Windows Server 2012+.
